I can not believe this is my 100th post!!!! ahhh...so excited and yet I still feel like I'm just getting started.  Thank you so much for following me on this journey....you readers are the best ever!!! If I had done better planning I would have wore something more sparkly for this post. We all know I love to dress for the occasion...and any celebratory occasion calls for sequins! So a flashback to my New Years Eve outfit here will have to do!:) 

As for this...yes, I'm still pulling this shirt out any moment I get! Bama still can't make up it's mind on if it's ready for summer or hanging on to winter so I'm enjoying this in between since I too can't let go of my winter wardrobe yet. 

Also had to show off how my new mani was match my shirt!:)

So they may not be the best photos but I had to share them anyway!:) My dad came into town this weekend to help me put the finishing touches on my apt! Ok so maybe I just told him what I wanted and he did it. What can I say....I don't own any tools!!:)

DECOR

Since moving I've been keeping a running list of MUST haves for the new place!;) And despite as much as I've tried to escape my Bama pics being hung in the living room I've finally accepted that it's just going to happen! I thought about changing to pink and cream but who am I kidding crimson and cream works too!;) So decor is going up on the walls this weekend and the hunt for a new rug, some pillows, and curtains is on! I'm in love with this black and white chevron rug! And I've never had pillows on my couch but the new place def needs a pop of color...I like the design on this first one but that ruffle!!! I die! I'm also on the search for an ottoman. Although I don't think I want one this big ---I'm LOVING this one! The color is totally off but I'm still in love. I have a bookcase and glass table in my living room and on the search for unique decor pieces! I love this crown chess piece (I don't know the technical name, never played before:)) And finally, I'm finding that fresh flowers just do something a little extra to a room!

I am also SO SO SO excited tonight is the NFL draft!!!:) I will be glued to my tv with NFL and ESPN! I just love watching people's dreams come true....."And with the #1 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft the Kansas City Chiefs select......"

REMIX

So this may be a fashion blogger no-no but I'm new to the game and don't really care. ;) I thought it was important to share. If you remember I wore this outfit several weeks ago...back when it was still "winter". Then today it was more "spring" so I changed it up just a tad. (Side note: this Alabama weather can not make up it's mind. Today it was in the 60s, tomorrow in the 70s.) If the material is light enough just a change of shoe can take one outfit from winter to spring. So if you live in Bama (or Colorado where my cousin is and it's still snowing) go ahead and try to mix up your closet to create even more choices. Spring is perfect for mixing those thin winter pieces with bright spring colors or throwing in a fun sandal. :)

LIFE LATELY

So after a little blog break to get moved and adjusted to my new place...I'm back!:) I thought I would being by sharing a few pics about what's been going on in my life through my iphone (so I apologize for the poor quality). So for the changes....

1. I changed my hair color...I know AGAIN...back to blonde!:)

2. I moved to a new place across town and although it still feels a bit weird I'm LOVING it!!! I've gotten everything unpacked and just working on decor! So forgive the messy condo pics...they are from right after moving in. Hopefully within the next few weeks I can give you a better tour of the new place looking more like home. 

3. Since moving, Lyla has not been adjusting to living there and it taking it out on my blinds. :/ I have bought some "bitter spray" and will keep you posted on how it works. If you have any chew tricks let me know because this little one is experiencing separation anxiety. 

4. I love being closer to my friends and can't wait to have them all over at the new place!

5. Some fresh flowers are helping my kitchen feel and look more and more like home. 

I hope you all are doing well...I've missed you! Ready to get back in the swing of things...despite this sinus cold that is wanting to take control at the moment. :)

NEW THINGS, YET THE SAME

Getting closer to moving day...so much to do and so little time!:/ I feel like every time my to-do list gets down to nothing 10 more things pop up. Guess that's just a part of growing up. 

I love when I get to sport these glasses! My cousin has such a talent to pick my perfect pair! I always leave so happy wishing my vision was worse;) If you live in the Atlanta area you definitely need to go see her!:) I just hate we don't get to see each other more. Having a cousin the same age as you really is so much fun!

ELEPHANTS AND A HAT

Happy Tuesday!! You already know what it is...Basement Tuesday!! Don't forget to tune in here at 7ct.! I know I've still been mia some this packing/moving is kicking my butt!:/ But only a few more days until it's OVER! 

It's finally getting warmer here in Bama and me the cold lover is excited about it! I may or may not have worn a dress for the past 3 days straight!:) I wore this outfit this past weekend out shopping for the new condo. My mom said "We should take Bill Cosby's advise and dress like bums so they give us a good deal." and then I walked out in this. I told her I didn't think we knew how to do that. ;) (My mom too was dressed cute.) Oh and if you don't know about the Cosby Show....well let's just say you need to go find out asap!

MAXI TIME

So the weather here in Bama still can't make up it's mind but I couldn't wait any longer to bust out my favorite maxi skirt! I plan on buying many more this spring/summer...they are so comfortable and can be dressy or casual. I've become officially obsessed so don't be alarmed when you start to see them show up often in my wardrobe!:)

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter! Mine was good...a little busy with the traveling but still nice! Since I've been in transition, my parents have taken my dog to MS with them, so it was nice to see her!!:) Missed that little brat!;) And of course I couldn't leave out Samson....my parent's dog...they both get so jealous of each other lol!
