WORKING ON MY FITNESS

So I post this in light of a conversation that I had with some of my friends last Wednesday. We were talking about working out and when you do, do you put thought into what you are going to wear. Some said yes, some said no. Me of course said yes. My thought is that when I look good (i.e., match) I feel good and when I feel good I work harder. So below is one of my fav workout combos...pink and black:) 

Which side are you on....to match or not to match to workout?! 

Side note: I am working out at my house by myself...I like to match just for me!!;)

PEEK-A-BOO

So apparently another summer staple in my closet is black and grey....see yesterday's post here:) But seriously can we all just take a moment for these shoes! I think this is my 3rd year to wear them. They are a must for my summer closet. I have no idea what I'm going to do when something happens to them...they are already looking very worn:( Jessica Simpson knows her shoes...and her way into my closet!!! I also loved getting to sport my other bubble necklace by ILY Couture! What?! every girl needs a pink AND purple necklace:) But moving on to the actual outfit...I loved this outfit...it was perfect for a summer night out with my girls at a dinner and a movie.

SUMMER STAPLES

There are few things that are becoming more and more seen in my daily wardrobe these days. The first being shorts! I'm usually not a huge fan of shorts. I don't quite know what it is but if I get a choice I'm going with skinnies or leggings over shorts. However, these days I don't have a choice..this heat is just too much! The second has been a cute casual/dressy tee. I am a sucker for anything I can dress up and dress down. A plain tee with a pocket or a tee with few sequins can really go a long way with me. Lastly, with this heat there are two things that always happen to me #1 my make-up looks like it is melting away (think wicked witch of the west or at least that's how I feel) and #2 flat hair. Therefore, to help avoid the second I have started wearing my hair straight again. It's been/still is a big adjustment for me. What are some of your summer wardrobe staples?

IT'S CORAL NOT ORANGE

So any of you that know me understand my love passion for football and that Bama is my #1 team. Therefore, I typically avoid all things orange and blue for obvious reasons (yes even FL orange and blue). No need to confuse anyone;) With that being said...when I saw this dress I immediately was in love with it..the fabric is amazing, it's so comfy, and the perfect length for work. I usually get a comment about me in orange when I wear this...mostly because it's the only thing I own this color...and in my head I claim it's coral not orange!!:)

PLAYING DRESS UP

I had the best weekend!!! Friday night started the weekend off right...remember just how lucky I am to be doing something that is making a difference! I'm so honored and I love it! Then Saturday (praise the Lord) was gorgeous and a perfect day to relax with good friends!! The Saturday night the Basement girls had a dance party were we all get to get dressed up. As you know I love my fashion and this was the perfect night for me! I pulled out all my options and with the help of my friends decided on this dress. I must admit I've had it for years and never worn it. I knew I would need it at some point and it turns out this weekend was it! I had several of my closest friends come to my place and we spread out all our hair, make up, and clothing options and had a BLAST while listening to our fav tunes! Seriously so much fun! What girl doesn't love nights like these?!? Check out a few pics from the night...aren't my friend drop dead GORGEOUS?!!! Love them!!:)

So I must explain this next pic a bit. Our friend (see above the pretty in the beautiful teal floral gown) saw us walking in said "Hey-can I take your picture?" and we all froze mid walk. Needless to say we laughed so hard over how this picture turned out! Too funny but must be framed asap!

I can't believe I'm posting this last pic but here goes...... Last minute we had a fashion show with every girl getting to walk and show off their style. It was a blast! I mean every girl dreams of her runway moment right?!!

STRIPES AND CARRIE

So I must admit that over the years I have become more of a county fan, mostly because of my fav, Carrie Underwood. I watch most country music awards just to see her performance. Well last night was no different..I tuned in, well recorded, and went back and found her performance. Once again she was amazing!! She is so gorgeous!!! I was dying over her dress, shoes, hair, make-up...all of it!! Total unashamed girl crush over here! Scroll down for a pic from the night!

As for my dress....ever been shopping and thought.."Oh that's cute I will wear it some but it probably won't be a favorite"...and then you wear the dress, top, pants...every chance you get??! Well that was this dress. I thought oh it's cute, comfortable, and will be good for summer. Turns out this dress is all that and more! What are some of your ok purchases that turn out to be a live without piece??

I forgot I had taken pictures on my camera as well and when I found them I had to share! The first set of pictures are from the bridesmaid luncheon. Love my beach hat I received...and if you couldn't tell it has my initials in hot pink!:) The second set of pics are the main reason I had to share. They are from the rehearsal dinner and describe our relationship....fun and laughing all the time with our LaLa talking nonstop!;) Lastly a few more pics from the actual wedding day and I had to show off my hair! I LOVED it!!
